Magnify

“The Lord be magnified!”
But I am poor and needy;
Yet the Lord thinks upon me.
You are my help and my deliverer;

Magnified....hmmm
1 a : EXTOL, LAUD b : to cause to be held in greater esteem or respect
2 a : to increase in significance : INTENSIFY b : EXAGGERATE <magnifies every minor issue to crisis proportions>
3 : to enlarge in fact or in appearance
intransitive verb : to have the power of causing objects to appear larger than they are

how is the Lord magnified in my life....  am I magnifying Him? I'll have to get back to you on this one

Luke 46-48
And Mary said:
“My soul magnifies the Lord,
And my spirit has rejoiced in God my Savior.
For He has regarded the lowly state of His maidservant;
For behold, henceforth all generations will call me blessed.
For He who is mighty has done great things for me,
And holy is His name.

Shout it out!

I have not hidden Your righteousness within my heart;
     I have declared Your faithfulness and Your salvation;
     I have not concealed Your lovingkindness and Your truth
     From the great assembly.
Do not withhold Your tender mercies from me, O Lord;
    ?Let Your lovingkindness and Your truth continually preserve me.

?Matthew 26
60?
?And the high priest stood up in the midst and asked Jesus, saying, “?Do You answer nothing? What is it these men testify against You??” ?61? But ??He kept silent and answered nothing.

Humility. I have been doing a lot of research on humility lately. How many, when accused of a crime such as blasphemy, would not leap to their own defense??? My husband is an avid Judge show watcher. Judge Judy, Joe Brown, Marylin, they all live in my house with us at regular intervals. So many times I will hear from the kitchen, somebody who is winning their case defending their position and end up talking themselves out of the win!

Father - please let me live the kind oflife that when I am accused - I can sit and listen and not have to speak for myself because I am blameless in your eyes!

14     From the place of His dwelling He looks
     On all the inhabitants of the earth;
15     He fashions their hearts individually;
     ?He ?considers all their works.
Psalm 33...

Each of us is an individual. Each of us has our own level of performance, of excellence. Not one of us can look at another and determine how excellent they should be. Only the Lord knows that. The One who lovingly shaped us, the One who knew of us from before time began. (... just talking out loud --- sorry to interrupt :)

Faith

Psalm 27
13     I would have lost heart, unless I had believed
     That I would see the goodness of the Lord
     ?In the land of the living.
14  Wait ?on the Lord;
     Be of good courage,
     And He shall strengthen your heart;
     Wait, I say, on the Lord!
